Playoff Eligibility Reminder
Posted July 19, 2009
Our league rules state that to be eligible to compete in the playoffs, a player must have played in at least three of his team’s first twelve league games. The rules also state that exceptions may be allowed, if approved by the league committee.
So if any of the playoff teams have any players who do not meet the eligibility requirements, that they would like the league committee to consider for exception, it is important they submit a request in writing (email) to Larry (email@example.com) so that a meeting can be called for Monday night, July 20.If a team uses an ineligible player, they run the risk of a protest from their opponent, which could result in a forfeit of a game.
As this league is noted for its high degree of sportsmanship, this is certainly not the desired conclusion to what has been a highly entertaining and exciting season.
